Multichannel Detection and Spatial Signature Estimation with Uncalibrated Receivers
A problem occuring in radio astronomy is the detection and cancellation of spatially correlated interfering signals entering via the sidelobes of the telescopes in an array. A complicating factor is that the noise powers can be different at each telescope. For the case that the sensors are uncalibrated, we formulate the detection problem as a test on the covariance structure, state the GLRT for...
متن کاملDevelopment of Nonlinear Lattice-Hammerstein Filters for Gaussian Signals
In this paper, the nonlinear lattice-Hammerstein filter and its properties are derived. It is shown that the error signals are orthogonal to the input signal and also backward errors of different stages are orthogonal to each other. Numerical results confirm all the theoretical properties of the lattice-Hammerstein structure.
متن کاملGaussian Processes for Multiuser Detection in CDMA receivers
In this paper we propose a new receiver for digital communications. We focus on the application of Gaussian Processes (GPs) to the multiuser detection (MUD) in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems to solve the near-far problem. Hence, we aim to reduce the interference from other users sharing the same frequency band. While usual approaches minimize the mean square error (MMSE) to linear...
متن کاملDetection and estimation in the presence of signals with uncalibrated spatial signature
This paper considers the problem of signal detection and direction of arrival (DOA) estimation in situations where signals that generate an uncalibrated array response are present. Situations such as this often arise in airborne direction finding when skywave multipath is present. A parameterization that accounts for “uncalibrated” spatial signatures (USS) is proposed, and the identifiability o...
متن کاملAdaptive Signal Detection in Auto-Regressive Interference with Gaussian Spectrum
A detector for the case of a radar target with known Doppler and unknown complex amplitude in complex Gaussian noise with unknown parameters has been derived. The detector assumes that the noise is an Auto-Regressive (AR) process with Gaussian autocorrelation function which is a suitable model for ground clutter in most scenarios involving airborne radars. The detector estimates the unknown...
